Welcome to Mending Hearts Recovery Web Site.
Mending Hearts Recovery is a faith
based, non-profit, transitional housing facility for women. We help homeless women who have completed a drug and alcohol
treatment program and for community reintergration for those women being released from the Department of Corrections.
We are located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed
me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim
freedom for the prisoners and
recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, Luke 4:18
The purpose of our program is to enable women with disabilities (as related to alcohol
and substance abuse addictions) to live a drug and alcohol free existence in a safe and sober home atmosphere where positive
life changes can begin. We work with these women through education, housing, mentoring, and leading by example to help them
achieve independence. The length of our program is six months to one year. Mending Hearts Recovery is supported by donations
from churches, organizations, individuals and local recovery programs. All donations benefit the women of Mending Hearts
Recovery. Have a question about Mending Hearts Recovery? Email it to us and we'll answer it on our "contact us"page.
